JCPR has a small staff of four dedicated outdoor orientated professionals. JCPR usually incorporates Camp Hosts in the campground, and occasionally a volunteer secretary in the office. Volunteers are used through out the year so if you are interested, please contact us.
All staff members work weekends and are always happy to assist you.
Seth Jones,Director
Seth took the role of Park in Director in early 2025 and has been with the department since 2016 acting as the Maintenance Supervisor. He grew up in North Vernon, graduated from Indiana University in 2003 and lived in Bloomington for ten years before moving back home. He is an avid exercise and outdoors enthusiast. He enjoys weightlifting, hiking, kayaking, playing disc golf and pickleball.
Paul Gatewood,Park Assistant
Paul Gatewood was born and raised in Westport ,IN, graduated from South Decatur High School in 1977.He worked in a factory for 36 years and decided to fulfill his desire to work in an outside environment and started working for IDNR as a park maintenance person. Started working for JCPR in September 2016. He raised 3 children and has 3 grandchildren. His hobbies include camping, fishing, walking and playing with his grandchildren and enjoys sports of all kinds.
Isaac Fry,Park Assistant
Isaac is a lifelong native of Jennings County. He has two sons with family in North Vernon and Florida. He is an avid outdoor enthusiast, who enjoys, camping, hiking, rock-climbing, and more. Isaac has a variety of other hobbies and interests including art and automobiles. He has been visiting the Muscatatuck Park his whole life.
